The Tyn church, the Astronomical Clock and the Prague underground.

First we go to the Old Town Square to visit the Tyn church. It was founded in the 13th century and reconstructed several times. The famous Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe is buried in the church. We will see his tombstone close to the altar. We will tell the very special story about his death and the many versions of the reason why he died. We will reveal the most likely version, which was disclosed after his grave was reopened in 2010.

Next we cross the Old town Square and go to the world famous Astromonical Clock from 1410. On the square in front of clock you will learn about history of the clock, including the legend how the man who constructed the clock was blinded to prevent him from making other similar clocks around Europe.

Now we go into the town hall for an excursion in the inner parts, where we among other things will se the clock from the back. We will visit the chapel and other interesting halls, too.

Finally we reach the high-light of the day, which is the visit in the Prague underground. 6-7 meters below the Old Town Hall we find the "Town under the Town", where people were living in the 12th century, until several meters of soil were put on top of all the houses, because of the big problems with the floodings. The walls in the Romanesque houses are several meters thick as they were constructed as small fortresses to protect the residents against the enemy. We will see a big number of wells, because the rich inhabitants were unsatisfied with the quality of the water in the public wells.

Later the cellars were used as dungeons and torture chambers. We take a walk in the old gallery and tell the stories about how the prisoners were tortured and lived a miserable life.
