Crystal BOHEMIA was founded in 2008 in order to keep and develop the tradition how to produce lead crystal in Poděbrady. The company became the owner of the glass factory in April 2009 and today there are 330 employees.

The factory is placed in the town Poděbrady and continues the tradition of producing cut lead crystal in Bohemia. This tradition dates back to the beginning of the 18th century and has had a big influence on the prouction of crystal all over the world.

The company is the leading producer of crystal in the Czech Republic and is one of the most important in the world, as 90% of the of the production is exported.

During the visit you can see an exhibition about the history of the factory and you will have the chance to see a movie, which illustates how to produce lead crystal. We will, too, show you the furnaces with the molten glass and later how the items are cut in fine patterns. After the excursion we will take you to the outlet shop Cash and Carry, where you can do some shopping. All guests will receive a small present.
