We drive from Prague to the quaint and historic town of Litomerice located by the river.

We will enjoy the cosy atmosphere on the town square, where we will have coffee and cake, too. Then we drive to the small wine town Velke Zernoseky.

Here we go on a tour of the old chateau. The wine is stored in the old monastery basements from 14th century and the vineyards are located near the castle.

It is exciting to walk around in the old rooms with barrows and bottles along the walls. Today is grown 31 hectares.

Since we are far to the north, they produce mainly white or rose wines in this vineyard. 65 procent of the wine is sold directly in their own wine shop. We will eat lunch in the cozy premises of the chateau, as well as we will have a wine tasting of six different wines.

On the way back to Prague, we make a stop in Melnik to enjoy the confluence of the rivers Elbe and Moldau. You can also visit the Melnik castle or the macabre Bone Church.
